I just dropped out of a race.
I have never done this before.
Not a good feeling.
but I know that my heart is done for the season. the disappointment I felt after my last race make me re-evaluate the rest of my season.
sigh.
I just had my first DNS on Aug 7th. I was done, cooked, stick a fork in me. I think that decision is harder than taking a DNF.
But, sometimes it's the only choice. Why do we do this? For ourselves, we don't have anything to prove to anyone. We can do these distances in our sleep.
I completely understand your decision. And NOW! Enjoy OFF SEASON!!!

Well, you know yourself better than anyone else. Keep your chin up!
